What is the Freedom Alliance?
A coalition of players, clans, creators, and community leaders that creates trailers, promotional graphics, in-world news broadcasts, and community events that reach Helldivers all around the world.
Freedom Alliance Canonized in Patch notes
On October 29, 2024, the Freedom Alliance was officially canonized by Arrowhead Game Studios in Patch 01.001.201, cementing its role in the Helldivers universe as a recognized part of the game’s lore.
How it started
The Freedom Alliance started with a question:
How can we make Helldivers community events that span the entire community, and not just a single clan?
It began with a partnership between the Low Sodium Helldivers admins, design expert Chechin, Helldivers news personalities Pondera the Radio Angel, GoMan (GFN), & Strider of Valor, along with the leadership of the Wraith Corps, 9th Hellraisers and 95th Helldiver Division player clans. We brought on video editors Marvelous Shenanigans, voice actor Commander Rod, and, for extra spice, an actual expert chef named Oso to craft official recipes for us as well. The team has grown significantly since then, adding more artists, newscasters, and community figureheads.
Our goal is for the Alliance to grow, and with it, the lore, narratives, art, and activities as well. Anyone can contribute to the Alliance, and anyone can fight with us to complete Alliance Orders!
