On August 28th, two days after Helldivers releases on Xbox, we are rallying the entire community across Discord and Reddit to join low-level games and aid new players. Let’s give them a warm welcome to Hell.

New Helldivers are dropping into the fray, but the enemies of freedom do not discriminate between veterans and rookies. All seasoned Freedom Alliance members are being called to mentorship duty. Find new recruits, and give them the support and training they need, to make their way in the galaxy. Fight alongside them, guide their aim, and give them some new equipment to play with. Welcome them to hell, Helldivers—and make sure they live long enough to enjoy it.

To the veteran players out there, we have prepared four action-packed loadouts, each with unique ways to give new players a taste of what it means to play Helldivers 2 — whether you’re ferrying them around in an FRV, or giving them the mad glee of detonating a Portable Hellbomb. When we roll out the welcome mat for new players, if you want an extra challenge, pick one of the four loadouts below, and report to the frontlines.

The Hussar (Assault)

Providing fast battlefield movement with a side of democratic inspiration, the Freedom Alliance’s Hussars are focused on transporting the Cadets around the objectives and POIs, taking advantage of their superb awareness and experience. To bolster their patriotic intent, One True Flags are issued to motivate the new Helldivers to fight and die for our banner. If you see a Hussar arriving, you know that the cavalry is here. Fear not, and enjoy the ride.

The Zealot (Demolition)

To ensure that Cadets are ready for the battles to come, The Freedom Alliance has employed a specialized unit of Battlefield Motivators, zealous Helldivers whose sole purpose is to teach the meaning of self sacrifice in the name of Liberty.
Armed with Portable Hellbombs, adorning the sacred armors of martyrdom, they will keep morale high by chanting our National Anthem and providing them with the means to execute maximum Liberation.

The Paladin (Tank)

Nothing brings more patriotic inspiration than seeing the application of the Citizens’ taxes in a mechanized form. Freedom Alliance Command has deployed their mechanized units to support the new blood. True knights in shining armor, they are the democratic embodiment of valor, resilience, and good sight (as it takes a very good sight to avoid accidentally stomping over the Cadets). Blasting apart enemies left and right, the Paladins with their EXO-49s are the vanguard against oppression.
